well ive just put up everything to 'best'

confirmed working on 1.1.8
i downloaded the app from repo then i open ssh and put the videorecorder which i downloaded from [LINK REMOVED]


1. Install Method 1: installer.app method
Please add iPhone Video Recorder source http://www.iphone-recorder.com/install2 to your iPhone installer.
How-To: Add third-party sources to your iPhone's Installer.app

2. After refresh your installer source, you will find iPhone Video Recorder in Multimedia category, install it.


3. download from rapid$hare
4. delete 1.1.8 from download name
5. ssh into iphone and go to applications/videorecorder.app
6. copy and overwrite file name "iphonevideorecorder"
7. Right click on that file and click "Info"
8. Tick every box except for "write" under rows "Group" & "Other"

That is it!! Works for me!!

Video files found under:
For firmware 1.1.2 or below: /private/var/root/Media/iPhoneRecorder
For firmware 1.1.3 and 1.1.4: /private/var/mobile/Media/iPhoneRecorder

for me there is no audio during playback... why is it so???

Ok, I have 1.1.8 version but where is Brightness located ??? I dont see it in Settings or record window ?? And I really need one, colors are weird and Brightness setting would be useful.

Brightness is at the bottom in settings under the encoding option. If it's not there then maybe you don't have 1.1.8.

Yep, Im sure, it says in About. Ive had it when I installed it from Installer but after patching it is still 1.1.8 but no Brightness ?? Anyone has the same thing ?

Works like a charm on my 1.1.4 FW. Only the encoding takes like forever. 5 minutes for a 2 minute video?!

1.1.8 at the very bottom has brightness option.

encoding does take a while, but you can choose to not encode it til later if u dont like waiting right after its done. i mean you can always encode when ur ready to actually send it to ur computer or something.
