Default [HowTo] Uninstalling Cydia & installing Installer?

Hi pips,

I had to restore my phone to get SMS working, I could send but not recieve messages (it still doesn't work after restore though )

Anyways, I J/U/A with updated version of Lyberty+ (since I unlocked the phone previously with it), but it doesn't install the Installer anymore, just Cydia.

I tried Cydia and I don't like it, its not realy and very confusing, I would like to get Installer back to install the applications I liked.
Could someone please guide me though how I can do this? I am worried if I uninstall Cydia it might breaks something, I havn't installed anything with Cydia as yet.

Thanks for any help!

Actually you can add Installer using the old version of iLiberty+ while keeping Cydia; and hide Cydia using Poof there after...

Personally I prefer Cydia as it's not buggy as BSD...

Can I choose to install Cydia as well as Installer. Have read other posts that say that you can. Just checking.

Also, when I did a J/U/A with the latest iLiberty+ v1.3..... I only selected Cydia as well.

I then read that you could run iLiberty+ again, and select an individual package.

So I did that, and selected the Installer app.

BUT: you can't unselect the "unlock" on the initial page... which brings up a whole host of errors, and essentially NOTHING happens... Installer is not installed.

What is going on ????

Really? I can't get Cydia to work at all, its not easy to add souces etc. I think its got great potential and some neat features, but its just not ready for public release in my opinion.

U can use iLiberty v1.3 to put cydia and installer at the same time. In iLiberty, cydia act as a more superior version of the BSD subsystem and not to replace installer app. U need to tick installer in the advance tab to add in the payload.
