Spektro:

Thanks for your response, I don't have Bluetooth, turned on. I guess I will keep troubleshooting.

I also found a problem that wasn't fixed? I was talking with someone and got a call from an unknown caller. Nothing displayed, but I just heard the beeping in and a voicemail message was left.

I checked the log later and it did come in from an Unknown caller and was in the iBlacklist log, but not in the recent calls from the Iphone interface.

So I think that while you are on a phone call and a unknown caller calls, it comes through. So that bug still exists fro me. I have verified though if I am not on a call then, it definitely blocks unknown callers.

I just updated from 1.8 and I have a few questions. I noticed that blocked and unknown number (enable/disable) are gone. Does that mean they are both automatically on? I tried calling my phone with a blocked # and it blocked the number. Does that mean for unknown as well?

Another question is that, I have the setting to give a busy signal, but when I blocked my work # and tried calling, it just kept on ringing (no voicemail, no busy signal) just kept on ringing.

Why? Because it's the easiest to do and if users want to disable only the sms preview, they can do it using the iphone's default option for it.
Now, what about some moments where you really want to be safe, and a bl contact send you an sms from another cell phone, it won't be filtered and a sound notification could make your "house goes down" ))
You can do it on iphone's config but a single key on a filtering software sounds cooler

can we have the sound/vibrate optional? without them i`ll never even know an sms came in.

I would use another program to accomplish this like pysl or isms but I would have to stop using blacklist cause of the conflict...
Hi Spektro,

I agreed with Pablo Diablo, can we have the option to turn the sound/vibrate on/off? Without that, I would never know when there's any sms and I need to keep un-locking just to check if i ve missed any smses.

Thanks

I agree with developer about the "zero tollerance" on sms privacy, is an add-on to the standard options indeed.

@ Chadle

This will be explained soon on our tutorial for this version, but basically itīs not possible to send a true busy signal (unavailability) when you are in a call. So when you are in a call and a bl number calls you, itīs normal to hear a single beep because the cell phone was notified that there is a call waiting, but iBlacklist did the block as you noticed (removed the history and add to iBlack history). If the call really had went through, you would hear many annoying beeps to remind you still there is a call waiting for you. So, when it had done the block, it had to send the caller to Voicemail instead of send a busy signal because you were on a call. And thatīs why you already noticed when you are not in a call, it works like you expect.

About the sound notification, possibly in a near future, since now the incoming and outgoing stuff is really nice and the software will have improvements basically on extra features and other minor things, so sound notification is really an option.

Many thanks to all who had contributed with reports, ideas and donations !!!

cheers spektro, looking foward to the sound/vibrate option. I actually stopped using iblacklist and went to pysl right now cause of that, even tough I really like iblacklist better.

spektro, thanks for this great update and thanks for the ability to add a contact with many different numbers at once :-)

next step... I keep my contacte organized in groups (family, friends, work etc), are you planning to add "groups of contacts" support?

thank you once more

Anyone having the problem with iBlacklist like me? Noone can call me if I dont have their number in my contact list. I dont know why. When I disable iBlacklist it works fine but when I enable it it works fine for my contacts but if I dont have a particular number in my contacts list it doesnt let it through.

EDIT: Fixed it. I've deleted the numbers in my blacklist and then added them again and now it works... But I dont know why it happened like this

@ Anarchy

This happens if you have the global switch called Address Book Only setup to ON in Call Settings (for calls) and on SMS Settings (for SMSīs) and is a registered user.
Basically, this global setup is a quick way to accept calls or smsīs only from people in your address book and refuse from people wich are not there.
Please, if you just want to use the lists to block/accept people, set this switch to OFF in both calls and smsīs settings.

@ pl_svn

Actually, i do use my contacts like you (groups) and i use our free app called iContactsBR to manage those groups (itīs available on http://repo.iphonebrasil.org). So this will be one of the next steps to a further release.

great! thnx

i thought iContactsBR was intended only to help managing brasilian prefixes: I always get crazy, with that, when I travel through Brasil!

I'll give it a try
