I thought that we could create a KB that shows how to fix some Applications issues so. I propose the following the following message structure, so we can identify if the solution applies to our problem.
Structure Application Name : Application Version : Previous FW : upgrade method : (iTunes Upgrade, iTunes Restore, soft-upgrade, etc) Jailbreak Method : Activation Method : Unlock Method : Short Problem Description : Solution : I hope you agree with this idea. Best regards, PS: By the way english is not my first language, so I apologize for any mistake... Last edited by Yogs; 03-04-2008 at 03:28 AM. |

I think Yogs method is much better than just listing what worked without even saying what was done and how your system is configured.
I've been reading a lot of threads here and the information is far and few, and a lot of the times misleading. Thanks Yogs for trying to take a better approach! I think this thread should continue, and that other one should be absorbed into this one with more info added to it. |

Application Name : Pianist (the new iAno)
Application Version : 1.0.0 Previous FW : 1.1.3 OOB upgrade method : iTunes Restore Jailbreak Method : ZiPhone 2.5b WinXP (Advanced / Jailbreak only) Activation Method : AT&T Unlock Method : AT&T Short Problem Description : N/A Solution : None, working. Application Name : PocketGuitar Application Version : 0.2 Previous FW : 1.1.3 OOB upgrade method : iTunes Restore Jailbreak Method : ZiPhone 2.5b WinXP (Advanced / Jailbreak only) Activation Method : AT&T Unlock Method : AT&T Short Problem Description : N/A Solution : None, working. I think this thread should be for Issues and Non-Issues, because not everyone is going to get it working. So if you document what made it work straight away, I think that's helpful too. Maybe change the thread title? |
