I've just tested it with no sim or with a Swiss Orange SIM Card. No menu appears.

With the non-activated AT&T SIM Card... isn't working... do I something wrong... think so, will check again.

Use AT&T unactivated SIM.
Dial 911
Wait until the call hang up (you must be in a place with no signal, or a country where 911 doesn't work)
Go to Settings
Bellow WiFi the Carrier menu will appear.

I do not how to get there... is it using iPhoneInterface? Jailbreak? how is this done from scratch ? Please help, I desperately need to deactivate the autocorrection feature (native language = spanish)

Simple:

get out of jail
run iPhoneInterface
go to /Applications/Preferences.app/
getfile Keyboard.plist (you must have the getfile version of iPhoneInterface)

Back up your Keyboard.plist, just is case you need the original.

Edit Keyboard.plist with the zhivago information. To do this, I use PlistEditor Pro (convert to XML and then back to binary)

then, back in iPhoneInterface:

putfile Keyboard.plist

It works like a charm.

My native language is portuguese and this hack worked very nice.

Yeah, this is a bid strange. All preference panes are included somewhere, even the ones that are not displayed. On my iPhone, as it not activated, I don't have the EDGE Settings. However, the EDGE Settings are included in the Network.plist. The CarrierSettings are nowhere included and it looks like the attempt I posted earlier does not work. I found a variable named "_showCarrier" in the Preferences file but I don't know how to activate it.

Therefore, I would ask for a different thing. As I already mentioned, the personalized preferences are stored in the directory /var/root/Library/Preferences. I do have the following files:

ok... if someone could please upload a copy of their working youtube app then we could compare the one from the firmware and the one that they uploaded to see what is different and in thus try to get youtube working for everyone. If you can't upload it to the forum you can send me an email and I will do comparison. If you are willing, then pm me for my email address.
