Exclamation Stock look with third party applications on 1.1.1/1.1.2

I modified the Springboard so it would look stock when you install third party applications. You can use the mod on v1.1.1. and v.1.1.2 firmwares. Get the 13 Icons Version here.

Instructions:
1. Unzip Spring-13icons.zip and copy [space].app, [spacespace].app and [spacespacespace].app to /Applications
2. Set permission 755 to embark in all three folders
3. Copy M68AP.plist to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

EDIT:
- Used transparent pngs and fixed application names so you can use it on non black backgrounds.
- Fixed zip file for Mac users and modified display identifier of the new Installer.app - To place it in the first position on the second page.
- If you wish to have 12 or 14 icons on the first page, get 12 Icons Version or 14 Icons Version.
- If you're running Vista, extract the zip file using 7-zip.

good work, works great!

There is one thing different to my springboad.. oO

My App. names are white, yours are grey.
I know that they are original grey.

Any idea what happens here? How to become the
names grey again? :-(

No unfortunatelly not, Springboard in 1.02 doesn't allow scrolling.
There are couple of things you could do in 1.02. You could use Summerboard and hide fourth row, or maybe replace launcher with an empty icon and rename Launcher.app to [space].app. (In this case you could use my modifed version of Launcher 0.2.)

Is this like any other fix where you get the spacer apps launching whenever you tap them?

Basically yes, although I used embark intstead of blank.app so the springboard would return instantly.

Ah I see. Still useful though, albeit slightly annoying if you accidently tap one, heh. Interestingly though, there's an app called Mobilestack that's recently appeared that displays itself over the SpringBoard without having it launch in the generic way, maybe someone who had the knowledge could implement this to create the faux spacers that when tapped simply do nothing visual but launch and quit. Would be interesting if it was possible.

It would be probably quite hard to implement, due to scrolling functionallity. I think it would be easier to just patch the Springboard.

But really, I think it's a good enough solution.

Really cool... sorry for the stupid question... where do I get the M68AP.plist to copy to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app?

I've downloaded your apps and SpringBoard.app (what do I do with that?)

Thanks in advance.

M68AP.plist is included in stockspring01.zip. Just extract the zip file. M68AP.plist is in the system/... Folder.
