Unhappy i-smartphone 3gstorm - NO SERVICE??

Hi guys
this is my first post, hoping to get some of your enlightenment.
i got an i-smartphone3g storm turbosim, im in australia trying to use an Optus sim card in a vodafone 3g iphone v2.2.1. the first day it worked perfect sms text 3g everything. Then i was not at home that night so had no charger so the phone went flat(i had read this was bad) now i get no service, i have toggled airplane mode and attempted to swap the sim with another phone but i am unsure if i have done it right. do i was my sim, the i-smartphone or both? and for how long do i wait int he second phone? does it have to be another iphone 3G? or can it be any phone?

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

What I found to work for me was going to Settings, then General, then Reset, then Reset Network Settings. Doing this two or three times, then waiting for the service to come for around 5 minutes works for me.

I've never tried the sim-swapping method though, but yeah

First did you make sure 3G is turned off, and then reset the iPhone? About 1/50 of the turbosims I sell are faulty...

If you had purchased a faulty i-Smartphone from me, I would replace it with a working replacement.

Kind regards,

Hi man, could you get your simcard into another mobile phone, and find the signals, then use on your iphone 3g again.

If no service again, please use 3G storm to your friend's iphone 3g,and see what happened.

Cool i found the problem!

it seemed my whole sim card as buggered, it wasnt even being recognized in other phones(tried nokia, LG and other iphone). So i went to the optus shop and got a replacement sim and within half an hour i was back up and running again with the i-smartphone! its been 4 days now wihtout any problems so all is looking good so far.

i am not sure if the sim was broken due to the turbo sim or it was just coincidence and was due to die. If i have any other problems i will post here to let you know how the i-smartphone 3g storm goes.

thanks all for your help!
