I bought a new iPhone 3G from O2 UK two days ago, and bought a Gevey Plus2 sim to go with it. I'm originally on vodafone UK contract. I got everything working fine, incoming and outgoing calls, and got internet working by adding on a web package vodafone offers. I was able to send sms alright, as my friends told my they are able to receive them, however, i can't seem to receive any sms. I tried it with my other phone and sent an sms to my iPhone, but it just doesn't receive it. How can I solve this problem?

Have you tried removing your sim and putting it in an another phone (unlocked) then send and receive a few SMS and maybe a few phone calls for good measure? That help me when i had that problem. Note: I used a little Nokia phone I have that is unlocked and did not use the turbo sim with it.

This is a common problem of Gevey plus on some UK networks... I am testing an alternative (i-Smartphone) and it works fine on Vodafone and EDGE function is 'stable'.

I didn't have any SMS issues with Gevey Plus on Orange with an AT&T iPhone. And the No SIM error seems to have appeared after coming out of the tube (no signal), then working again.
