Frustrated with the lack of 3G support with v61i I upgraded to v64i.
So far I even cannot get a GSM network to work, so it's a step back. I did move the sim into another phone and selected another provider, no help. Maybe some of you were more lucky ? |

Well, the phone side of things is excellent now, working perfectly for me for a couple of days now, HOWEVER I also can't get any GPRS/EDGE and (obviously) still no 3g with incoming calls
![]() It's better, but still a falsely advertised con. |

Upgraded to v64i, as others have experienced, I have no 3g connection (simply says "No Service" at the top with it enabled), but also more frustratingly, I cannot get Push Email or any form of web browsing / internet to work either.
I downgraded back to a much earlier version, and the 2G connection is back working for the internet again. (Still no Push email though, and when I do get the email / calendar etc to work it won't 'Push' the mail in, I have to manually connect for it to refresh (and yes, I’ve checked, re-checked and triple checked all settings…) Most annoying! |

They claim: "- Advanced IMSI handling & instant Automatic network key renewal on all operator networks ( You Don`t Need to Reset your Network Key anymore )"
This is not true for me. To get the signal I need to put the sim in another phone. All is working fine until I move to another network cell and I lost the signal, my home network get blacklisted on the sim PLNM. So this "IMSI handling" is still not working here.

Well, my results are better than before...
* Carrier Select can now be Automatic. Earlier version lost connection often or couldn't connect at all. * GPRS data-connection now works. With v6.3 this did not work at all. With V6.1 it did. * G3 data-connection NOT working. Worked a little bit with V6.1 ... (which lost connection to GSM-network :-\) [update after resetting all network-settings: Automatic Carrier Select does not work that perfect as I stated before... My good results are lost now] Last edited by PaneVino; 05-04-2009 at 09:41 AM. |
