hi, so i went out and bought a 3g iphone from best buy (which come with 2.2.1 2.30.03) and decided to purchase a sim unlock card off of ebay which said it would unlock firmware 2.1.1 and baseband 2.30.03.
i get a SIM locked error and i'm not sure if this is because the sim unlock card is bogus or if there are additional steps i am missing. the phone is activated, works with the att sim card, but when i put the sim unlock card with my tmobile sim, it says SIM locked. I tried entering the PKU code, but as i understand it that only works with the phone the sim card is assigned to. my question is, will purchasing a rebel unlock sim card solve the SIM locked error? |
