Default Rebel Sim 2.2.1 2.30.03 problem

Apologies first of all if a duplicate post please direct me if so

i have a really frustrating issue i bought the latest rebel sim for the 2.2.1 firmware and 2.30.03 baseband it does work on the iphone 3g but only using 2g services
when i enable 3g i get searching....then no service. i have tried resetting network settings, restarting the phone re-inserting the sim after i have made a call on another device it just wont get a 3g connection and i am on Orange (UK) and have a data plan i wish to use

I would ver much appreciate any advice

Thanks

To be exact - this is most that you can have from your Rebel SIM.

Firmware v63i is under testing, and we hope it can resolve 3G issue.

Then 3G does not work fine.

You must use 2G mode only to have full funcionality.

Yes indeed, this product is NOT READY - Do not purchase unless indeed you don't need 3G - which is a waste for most.

I wouldn't mind the Rebelsim not working with 3g quite so much if they didn't outright lie on their website and say it does

I bought a couple and the programmer to unlock my iPhone 2.2.1 and 2.30.03 and it does not work at all with t-mobile in the UK, no signal without 3g on and no incoming calls with it on.

VERY disappointing, I just hope v63i will fix it because as it stands and in my opinion rebelsimcard is a rip off.

On that note do ANY of the sim unlock solutions actually work, and if so can someone recommend a reputable seller in the UK?

Rebel sim DOES NOT work reliably with Edge-only on an iPhone 3G. It frequently loses the carrier, & occasionally loses Edge entirely. If someone wants to shoot me a copy of v63i, I'd be more than happy to help test, I have two cards & the programmer. But like PC_Arcade said, at the moment it is a total rip-off.

I would have to agree, no point of purchasing it at this point...

Bought my Rebelsim a month ago and i gave up using my iPhone...not worth if can't use it in 3G mode. I keep loosing service, not incoming calls in 3G, etc, etc. (my carrier is Vodafone Spain btw )

Been waiting for a firmware update so this issues would be resolved but no luck so far.

So don't claim all works cause it doesn't!!!

I think that is a totally fair point to make. Just be honest on the website and say that 3G doesn't work reliably on 'most' providers sims. At least that way people aren't disappointed and you come across as a reliable honest company.

(Oh, and answer support emails when get them, as mine is being ignored right now!!)
