Edge icon on T-Mobile Pay as you go [Rebel Sim]

Hi,
I just bought a new Rebel Sim card (previously owned Any-Network proxy sim with no problems at all) to keep current with the new 3.0 upgrade. I put it in the iPhone and it works, the only problem is i get an Edge icon when i clearly have no data plan. Is this good or bad, does it harm anything and is there anyway to turn it off?

I bought the rebel sim too and it sucks!!! I keep on getting no service frequently!

That's normal. You may not have a data plan but data connectivity is still possible for various needs. MMS needs a data connection, for example.

To-Go SIMs can only access a limited number of sites (T-Mobile account management & a few other sites) and those can't be accessed by an iPhone since it has no WAP browser. There's nothing to worry about.
