I was unaware of that devteam breakthrough for the iPhone 3G, but appreciate the news and applaud the efforts of the iPhone Devteam. The new method, which hasn't even been released to the public, only works with 2.11.07 baseband. So the thousands of people who have accidentally updated to 2.2 baseband are out of luck.

What will be done for these people?

I will be updating my iPhone to 2.2 via iTunes to personally test the reliability of this new method and will let the community know how successful it is.

Honestly, I doubt this works.

I dont trust iSmartphone SIM's at all.

I made the mistake or ordering one to even try out.
Died on me after 2 hours. Replacement died on me in 4 hours.

I wouldn't buy a iSmartphone SIM, EVAAAARRR AGAIN!
