I have to agree with you on that point... but all resellers are aware that 3G must be turned off for the turbosim to work - if they do not pass this information on, then yes, it is a blatant scam.

You can't blame i-smartphone for this. If the carrier doesn't support 3g mode, then obviously it's not going to work.

I have not tested an AT&T sim with this (why would you? )

Even though Tmobile has 3g, its only for the G1 which operates on different signal range than the 3g iphone. So the 3g iphone will not work on tmobiles 3g network no matter what software hacks you use or whatever *sim you use.

Calling it a scam is a little unfair. You don't have to buy it, no one is forcing you to buy it, and if you do buy it, you are at your own risk for using it. Its your liability. Period. This goes for any modification to the phone as I'm sure you're aware.



Btw, this is not a failsafe solution. Yes it has some issues:

Sometimes it will say "NO SIM" which wipes out my APN settings... then I end up having to re-enter them and in 2-3 minutes it regains the connection. No where does it say that you are guaranteed to have 3G data. Yes it would be nice, but as I said tmobile doesn't support it.

iGun 4 Fun, do you have any ideas for the "NO SIM" issue? Its a pain in the ass to continually have to re-enter the APN every day...

Erm hello, I iz not a moron The point is that it doesn't work (on all networks at least) if your network supports 3G

EDGE/GPRS/3G <- scam

Full 3g data support <- more scam

The most important is that they can work perfectly in 3G network. <- super epic scam (considering they state themselves that it's the most important thing on an iPhone 3G )

Haha ok dude - again you can't blame i-smartphone for this. If you want 3g, sign up for AT&T. If you want to unlock the phone you can either do it this way or through the software mods...

Tell me which 3g networks work with tmobile other than AT&T? I don't know of any in the states... let alone anywhere else. If you want to use the iphone for something that it was not designed for, then yea you can't expect everything to work. That is my point.

Hello sir did you make sure you entered the correct network settings? Also, do you know which version of the i-smartphone it is? I only sell the LATEST turbo sims, why would I risk ruining my reputation and customer base?

I ordered one of these as i bought my iphone 3g off eBay from someone who updated to 2.2.1 for a good price.
I have to say i though it was going to be buggy but i was wrong. It has works spot on. yes you don't get 3g internet but i was aware of that and have wireless at home and work, and even tho the apn settings do get lost it still surfs on mine on gprs all the time.
I am on t-mobile UK and it will surf on 3g for a while but no calls. i am very happy until a hopeful software unlock.
