Default Problem with TurboSim v2.1

Hello guys

Sorry. I'm new to the topic.

I have an iPhone 3G from swisscom (firmware 2.1). the phone was activated with a swisscom sim card.

but I would like to use it with a sunrise SIM card. For that I bought a Turbo SIM card (v2.1).

So, when I insert the sunrise SIM with the Turbo SIM everything works fine at the beginning. I get a sunrise signal and in the top line the 3G symbol shows up. I can make calls, send SMS, surf the internet and receive calls.

But after a while the 3G symbol is replace by an E or nothing. And from this moment on I can't receive any calls anymore.

I haven't applied some special settings yet (I don't know which) or wasn't jailbreaking my phone.

I'm clueless about what I have to do next. I just wanted to ask you guys for a hint.

Any hint would be appreciated

thanks a lot.

Hello Ad1tya

I look on this Turbo SIM card. it's acutally not Turbo SIM written on it, it's called i-smartphone. but the dealer on ebay sold it as a Turbo SIM.

and yes. Data roaming is enabled.

Thanks for any hint.

Cheers

i-Smartphone 3G will not work on phones with Firmware 2.1

I have one as well. It doesnt work. Period. Itll work for about an hour, then give you a No SIM error. (Atleast thats what it did for me)

I demanded a replacement, they sent me a Q-SIM this time, which worked for 4 hours, and then again No SIM error.

I suggest you get a refund, and buy a Virgin SIM.

Hello Ad1tya

thanks for your advice. I will try a virgin SIM.

something i'm still wondering. If I use this virgin SIM do you know if I can use iTunes to sync my data, music, videos etc.

with the TurboSIM iTunes just showed an error message

thanks for your answer

Hey,

Your going to have to Hacktivate your phone.

Get PwnageTool, and make a custom firmware with the "Activate" option enabled.

Flash it on your phone with a DFU Restore.

^^ Start a Paypal dispute, and escalate it, get your money back.
Send them back the useless SIM's.

Buy a Virgin-SIM.

Your supplier is giving you the old version of the i-smartphone sim for sure.

I am currently using it, and after 2 months+ of usage, it works perfectly. I am also on firmware 2.1 and I also change sim cards very often.

Can you describe what your i-smartphone looks like? the packaging? thank you.

Get an EASYiSIM, it surely can use flawlessly, if you from UK, you can walk in to the shop located at London, Birmingham and Manchester to try before buy.
