just an update, the card i was using had a black mark on it, so i believe it was the normal speed? the high speed one (has red mark) doesn't work for me. The phone just says "no service".

Got my virgin-sim replacements last week.
Updated to 2.2 via pwnage.
It's working perfect on T-Mobile US

So far, virgin-sim is the best solution available.

With Virginsim is the carrier selection menu enabled?

I've tried a rebelsim and it isn't (flashes up briefly when airplane mode is disabled); but there's a video of a yessim unlock which shows the menu... interested in buying a virginsim and I'd like to know if it'll let me select carrier (useful when roaming!).

having trouble with my virginsim. the edge connection turns off after a day or two and i have to restart it several times to get it to turn back on. or it just turns back on by luck. i'm on t-mobile usa.

Have you tried enabling DATA Roaming?...

I had to enable data roaming to get it to work perfectly.

Once I did that, I never lost EDGE.

data roaming is always on. i figured out the problem. anytime i lose service and then get service again, edge is gone. i have to take the sim out and put it in another phone for a few mins then put it back in the iphone.
