Hi ever1.
I recently bought an iPhone with AT&T and after a month bought the Gevey 3G Sim Adapter. So far it works fine for me since my goal was just to be able to make/receive phonecalls as well as SMS and I am now on T-mobile. I was just wondering, if any of you guys has some recent experience with Gevey 3G? I just want to know how long I can expect this thing to work but up until now it seems to be very stable. I've been using it for 4 days now, and I've had no problems at all. How long did it work for you guys? Did it stop working? Did cops come to your door? Thanks for opinions, experiences and answers :iphone: :iphone:

oh great, someone unlocked it again. Thank you. I agree with the post "why is every thread being locked? The stickies are too long and confusing". I also used the search feature and didnt find any answers to my questions/problems, so I was kind of afraid making another post about other things I have questions about...
Now I will just try to write my new question/experience here, maybe we can discuss it in peace without the topic being locked: So I had the Gevey 3G as I said, and it worked until today.. today, it didnt really stop working, but instead of T-Mobile, it says AT and T now which is weird because I have my T-Mobile SIM card plus adapter inside my iPhone... Maybe that happened because it is a German T-mobile card? I rebooted the phone, but it always gets back to ATT instead of Tmobile.. does anyone have any experience with this or does anybody know why this is happening? I can still make and receive calls, its just ATT now. Weird,... |

Yes, my iPhone 3G is from the US. I bought it here and used my German Tmobile Sim Card with the Gevey 3G Adapter. So any ideas why it could have switched back to ATT even though the tmobile sim is still inserted and even though i actually had Tmobile on it for a couple of days...?

If you are using your iPhone with that German T-Mobile Card in USA, you don't have to worry about the Network in which you are using your Phone...
It is roaming man, sure, the iPhone usually catches the strongest Network, and if it is AT&T, you get it dont worry!

You were right, I am back in Germany and it works normally on Tmobile.
I have a different question now. Will the SIM Adapter I am using cause my iPhone 3G to be banned from their network so that I can't really use it anymore? |
