Anybody has tried this one out so far?

thanks in advance,

Iphone 3G Users with firmware 2.2, here is UNLOCK with Universal SIM.
For me it worked!!!
**Kosovo
**SFR
**Settings : v600
>>Nokia Default II
>>Use card ATR
>>TESTCARD
>>Use standard baudrate (~10k)
>>Use card IMSI
>>Fake sequence: 11111111111111111
**Jailbreak iPhone
**3G network enabled
PLEASE REPLY IF YOU HAD SUCCESS UNLOCKING YOUR IPHONE 3G firmware 2.2.

Baseband 02.28.00. I did like Kenani… It works! Original SIM from Rogers Ottawa. My SIM from Fido Montreal with Universal. Full signal! Call out no problem. To receive calls I have to disable 3G and it worked very well. Changing places all over the city without losing signal. To me, it’s may be not perfect but very workable. Happy to use my iPhone3G again as a phone and not only as an iPod.

I don't know mine has been working since October. Works great even with 2.2. I'm still using v5.00, The one everyone else seemed to have trouble with. Though I have not upgraded my baseband and never plan to, Its good to know there are working solutions out there (though not good. But at least its something)in case I do for some reason upgrade my baseband.

Still waiting for your solution

Will keep you posted if/when it fails...

Can you explain more why it goes off after working fine for some time?

We tried and it works fine in Serbia and Croatia also.

Regards
Petar

^^ No he cant.

He just hates xSIM's even though they get the job done.

We all agree its a stop gap solution till the dev team unlock the 3G.

But zf still hates them.
It went from him claiming that they dont work at all, to they work for a few hours, to a few days.

Personally, my VirginSIM has been working since 2 months flawlessly now.

Couldn't care less what zf has to say even though hes a reputed member.

Thanks,

For the record, last week I finally ended up purchasing a xSIM solution from iphone-sim-unlock.com... I hope I get it by the end of the week. I'll keep you posted.

Marc

The real challenge is Firmware 2.2 Modem Firmware 02.28.00 though.
Yes, we know dev team is working hard, but, we also need something real for the moment.
Mine is using the solution posted here before and returned to life with full strength signal now for three consecutive days. No signal loss at all. Will post success or failure in the coming days...

Luckily now that the dev team is releasing their unlock by the end of the year we no longer have to listen to ZF complain about something he has never tried or used. Him and I have gotten in so many feuds in all these posts/topics I'm glad I don't have to set him straight with the facts about X*Sims anymore. His job is to moderate this section of the forum so people don't waste money but he never let anyone tell their observations of their sim solutions even when it was from normal people like me not corporate sellers.
