that edge is faster than att 3g. Pathetic company. I wish their customers would learn that 3g means 3.6 to 7.2 Mbps, not 700kbps.

no third party app has cought my eye. The only time I want to flash it is if a hacked baseband enables 1700mhz for t mobile. The chip is capable.

Maybe this version is a good alternative for the TornadoSim in Germany...We still have three iPhone 3Gs crying for an unlock where 3G and phone funtion will work concurrently =)

Ranova,

what is the difference between pwning the device and jailbreaking it? are you confident that these processes are completelly reversible?

6 weeks now and still going strong!!

AT&T 3G on T-Mobile using universal-sim v5.00 FW 2.1

Calls in/out = working
SMS in/out =working
edge = working
3G = No its T-Mobile
GPS = working
Syncs with iTunes (activated and jailbroken with pwnage)

I may be just really really lucky because this "Fail solution" has been working perfectly since day one.

Virgin Sim samples have been send out to 1) reznor9- Fedex tracking# 8658 1382 4798
2) ranova- Fedex tracking# 8658 1382 4802.

Only by testing & comparing with other *sim, we can find is there any room for improvement in VirginSim's high network search speed , EDGE & GPRS setting etc.

pwning\jailbreaking are the same thing. Yes, easily reversible with a restore of an original fw

basically if you want to go back to normal, you hit restore in itunes. done
