You need to sand down your sim, and depending on which model of the universal-sim you have, also the chip of it. If you want you can tape the adapter and the im together... Thats what i always do, and i only broke 1 tray so for

I put a little piece of tape on top of my sim that sticks outside of the phone just a bit. Then if I want to remove my sim, I use the sim eject tool and use the tape as a pull-tab to remove the sim-in-tray.

Tape is definitely a must. That along with sanding a teed bit, you should be set.

If your sim tray get stuck, there are three ways to get the sim out without breaking the sim tray.
1. Using X-acto blade or any thin blade to get on top of the sim tray from the right side (if you hold the sim tray face forward to your body), then try to get on top of the black chip, then you can pull it out. 2. Using something that even smaller than a paper clip. A spring from your pen for example. Bend one head a bit. Without push the sim tray out, just keep it inside. Now use the thing to get into the hole and pull the sim tray out. The reason the chip got stuck because when you use the ejector to push the sim tray out, the thing that push the sim out actually push the sim up and make it stuck. 3. Open the LCD, this actually the easiest way if you have the right tools. What you need: Small Philip drew driver, suction cup. Open to screws at the bottom, then use the suction cup to stick it close to the home button, then pull that side up. You don't have to pull hard. It comes off very easily. Now you can push the sim out. I did it this morning. It's a piece of cake. Anyone can do it. |

Hi, this is my first post so don't shoot me if i am posting in the wrong section.
![]() I bought an i-smartphone 3g for my iphone 3g on T-Mobile uk. It worked for about 10 mins then came up 'No Sim' after trying every combination under the sun including a replacement i-smartphone i have found a fix for getting your phone to work again after. Apologies if this is something you guys already know about but after trawling websites to find a way of getting it to work again i couldn't so if it helps someone else like me then great. I founf lots of people in the same situation having used it for x amount of time then having it lose signal and say 'No Sim' then not knowing what to do after. All i did was go to Settings, General, Reset and Reset Network Settings and now it has worked for over a day with no problems. It soft resets, takes about a minute and the phone comes back on straight after with full signal! Is this method an ok way of fixing this issue or is it gonna damage the phone in some way? I'm planning to do this every time my phone comes up with 'No Sim' if it ever does in the future. Dan |

I just got the Universal Sim (v550) and I have a iPhone 3G w/ 2.1. Its never been used except to upgrade(restore) to 2.1
When I put the sim and universal sim inside, it says that my carrier/sim card is not supported. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

So either way will work, but the bossprefs reboot is probably the fastest.

If you got a p-key with it, try to re-flash v550.

so, with more than 50 pages of posts and having read random pages I'm a little puzzled, so I'll ask straight away: what's the status now`? Could someone sum it up a little? or even better do an update of the first entry? thx
