I posted this elsewhere, but wanted to ask it here as well...I received my universal-sim card and, upon installing it into my iphone 3G (version 2.0.2) with a t-mobile sim, received a "no service" notice in the upper left hand corner. Any idea how to resolve the issue?

Thanks

Where did you buy it, did it come preprogrammed? Try removing the sim, put it back in, and then restart the phone.

Or try putting just the tmo sim in a different phone, make a call, then stick it back with the universal sim into your 3g and see if that works.

Bought the universal-sim from usbfever.com...the t-mobile sim is from a friends phone...when it is in her t-mobile phone, the sim card (phone) works...when I put it into the 3g with the universal-sim there is no signal. Silly question, perhaps, but would it make a difference whether or not she has a data plan with t-mobile?

Turn off 3G mode on the iPhone. T-mobile 3G won't work even you have 3G network in your city.
Restart the phone, it should work.
If it doesn't work, you need to update the version on the sim.
