I received the samples for the Tornado SIM yesterday, thank you unlockcellular.
Itīs the first sample I received so far.

Sorry, but I was unable to install it cuz Iīm not willing to damage my sim tray.

I packed it with my SIM card, but the tray WONīT slide in back. The IC getīs stuck right by the edge. Obviously Iīm not forcing it cuz I donīt want to damage my iPhone.
Any ideas?

Before updating, I would have to restart after activating Airplane Mode to get signal back.
stay in a no service area for at least 10 min. If its only out of service for a little bit, you will regain service no problem

it's been 48 hours since i got my universal sim.
it worked out of the box. if i get in an area with no signal, the phone gets it's signal back.

calls in/out - perfect
edge - works (i have 3g off, data roaming on, and t-zones installed after i installed the sim)
no dropped calls yet with the original iphone i had a lot of dropped calls. - much better signal.

one bug - when i want to sync the phone i have to remove the card.

1) How long were you out of signal for - it MUST be at least 10 minutes or more. A quick loss of signal and regain in 1 minute works all old sims

2) why do you have to remove your card on sync, thats the first Ive heard of this on any sim

I'm getting something like a Signal drop down loop hole this morning on my StealthSim phone -> Full Signal bar -> Empty Signal Bar -> 'No Signal' message -> Full Signal bar... Could all the official tester please PM me somehow? I'd like to talk about the unified system i worked on.

As for the Tornado Sim, it works like a charm. Even GPS works (where all other cards tested failed)!
Further infos later.

Also i got the Virgin Sim samples today, nice idea but doesnt work. Design Nr. 1 didn't work (No Service) and Design Nr.2 Didn't even fit into the iPhone as the Chip was too high (and yes, i even sand it down). But i was told that they sent me the wrong samples anyhow, so i still have hope in the next ones.

I noticed that too while testing the Universal Sim, but it's an activation problem.. If you have a legitly activated phone iTunes gets into 'Connect to iTunes Store' loophole. The problem was solved using either the Airplain mode, or an pre-activated OS.

I would like to report my experience with I-smartphone. I have tested it on orange in France and both vodafone and mobinil in Egypt. It only partially works. In France on orange I was able to use 3g data, calls in and out, SMS in and out, but only for about an hour. Then it stopped working all together. In Egypt it works on both mobinil and vodafone for calls and SMS fully, and data. But no 3g and now tower handover. If I change areas I must get signal with another phone then return the sim to my iPhone.

Lost Soul, right now I feel you are contributing one of the most, just go ahead with your proposal and we'll all try to see how to collect the data in line with your proposal... For me, it really looks like this SIM stuff ain't up to scratch yet. I think we'll have to wait for 2.1 and what the Dev Team can unleash in a few months' time. But there is now a good community of testing also going on and suppliers willing to put up samples... So keep up the work and maybe a breakthrough will be found...!
