GPS works with the cellular tower's triangulation, but not without it. So unless you just want your coordinates; yes it does work.

after reading thoroughly these 34 pages I just feel absolutely overwhelmed with so much informationg posted...

I've read that Lost Soul™ was going to produce a sort of formular in order for us all to be able to follow the different results gathered up to now. Has that happened yet? that would be fantastic because the amount of info is just huge.

Latest results suggest that Universal SIM seems to work. Is out there someone testing it in Spain? don't think me rude but could somebody wrap things up for the ones that have just arrived? I mean, people involved in this testing from the very begining might be able to see and tell things that others can't.

I'm glad I've found this thread... today I almost bought one of these "magic cards"... I would be sooo stuck if that had happened...

what do you mean "but not without it?" So it doesnt work with the actual gps, and only only celltower\wifi triangulation?

I'm still on it, the problem is to find a unified way for all of us testers to get their results packages in one sheet.. but expect a solution later this day.

I believe my TornadoSIM came today... Will try it over the weekend.

Call me naive but wouldn't it be awesome if developers of Universal SIM/TurboSIM/Tornado SIM/X SIM came up with a combination of "dual sim" plus "sim unlock"??!!!

First, they need to get their unlock solutions to work proper, and if that's done they can do whatever they want.

Its been a week now and its still working. AT&T phone on T-Mobile USA FW 2.0.2 BB 02.08.01 universal-sim.

Calls in/out= working
SMS= working
GPS= working
caller ID= working
3G = Its T-mobile!
Edge= working (T-Zones hack)

I have traveled through 3 states over a week and all works great. Only issue is I have to restart the phone when I loss signal. So far it only happens in places where T-Mobile coverage sucks for everyone. In the lab at work and a friends house in New Jersey are the only two spots I loss signal.

Correct. You cannot use GPS function by itself.
