I want to use 3G HSDPA for internet access. Can you tell me about your experience with Universal SIM? They request us to "make the appropriate APN settings in Setting ", does this mean that Universal SIM is not using the 3G HSPA/HSDPA for internet accesss, it is using the slower (2G) EDGE/GPRS for data & internet access?

When using U-sim on iPhone , after connected to the Internet via the cellular data network, will I see the 3G , EDGE , or GPRS icon in the status bar at the top of the screen?

Just for your information, i'm still alive. And i'll continue testing as soon as i got my new simtray. Also i'm working on a standardized exel sheet for us testers, so we finally have all infos needed in one hand.. i-smarfone from brando, calls work, internet does not. I entered APN manally but no difference. Help anyone ?

I don't know if we are still doing updates, but here's mine on Universal Sim with T-mobile US.

After five days, with a little speed bump in the way on Saturday, everything's working. I am especially impressed with it's ability to reconnected flawlessly out of airplane mode and in places without service. (I go to school and some classrooms are totally dead)

So far so good after 5 days with Universal Sim on T-mobile USA v2.0.2 modem fw 1.48.02.

Universal SIM, v500 iPhone 3G from Rogers (Ottawa).
Using common Fido SIM from previous Samsung cell phone in Montreal, moving around a lot.
No data plan (don't want to pay for it). Everything else working very well since 08/26th with one interruption (No SIM 08/31st) recovered after rebooting iPhone. Now going to Rome, Italy and will tray local SIM there for a week. Will post experience.

update on 3G US tmobile.
Iphone doesn't compatible with tmobile 3g.
I could not pick up any 3g in Las Vegas.
I drove 350 miles away to LV.
I lost signal couple times because there is no service there. But universal sim was able to get signal back quickly. Tornado sim does the same on my brother phone.
Edge works fine for tmobile.
T-zone works fine in LV and LA. But when i got back to San diego, tzone is no longer work. I don't know what is wrong with San diego network. Email is still working though. Just no web and no map. I did change the proxy though.
