Ivan,
I bought from a distributor of UniversalSIM. Pm me so I can tell you her email. Claro and TIM sims are 128kb, at least the ones I'm using. It recognizes 3G connection, although in TIM it doesn't locate me on Maps. |

I'll evaluate as soon as it arrives here.
Thanks for sending the sample! |

LostSoul,
I'm having the same issue here. It can't locate or drive me around. Quote:

I am planning to try on Maxis Hotlink Prepaid and Digi as these are the prepaid I commonly used while in Malaysia. Also, I am planning to test another sim unlock card called Hypersim. Contacted them and their response says it is only available from 1st of Sept onwards. It also claims to have similar 3G unlock as universal sim website.
The interesting part will be the dual sim option which include in the unlock sim. It allows you to put 2 sim card from different providers. Useful for travelling as I need to hold 2 mobile phones which travel. Not sure if this is workable for IPhone3G. Anyone try it before? Quote:

@LostSoul
I think you are right. There is something going on with the firmware. Which firmware do you have? And baseband? When I test the gps on 2.0 and 1.45 baseband OTB, it could detect very quickly. But when i upgraded to 2.0.1 and kept the old baseband from 2.0 (1.45.00), it took me 15mins to get the satellite signal for the first couple times even with legit at&t sim. However, it works fine now. I think the GPS works better if we have the firmware that goes with its baseband. |

Just a quick question since I am not familiar with Roaming Data.
When turning on Roaming Data using these hacked sims, if I have T-mobile showing up, I am not using AT&T data right? I did see my MB usage going up on my T-mobile online account, and it does say unlimited data. I just want to make sure that I am not using other carrier data because I don't want to pay the big bill. |

Yes, a thinner version would be nice!

Thanks, Unlockcellular for the samples. One did not work, but one is working. This is officially Day One and here are my initial results:
Network: T-Mobile USA Calls in/out: Yes/Yes SMS in/out: Yes/Yes Edge Data: Yes (still evaluating) GPS: Yes (still evaluating) Network dropped off once, but immediately found itself. I'll be going out of town over the weekend, so I'll be able to test changes in data and voice service in different areas. Note: I am using a brand new T-Mobile SIM card just before installing the TornadoSIM. I jacked up my previous SIM trying to make a "backup." I just told T-Mo customer service that my SIM stopped working while switching phones. I received a replacement at a store with no questions asked. Deco, I'll be getting you that BB dump.
