Hey thanks for the feedback. I just wanted to know what does "sometimes" means for the universal sim for calls and sms?

It means that sometimes calls don't get trough, it doesnt ring.. as if the phone would be turned off, you know? But i think that usually happens with the 3G option turned on.

Hello, I am moving to next stage with testing "Virgin SIM" and your SIM solution. I will PM you.

OK, my summary:
UniversalSIM: As mentioned previously by various posters here. Could be a reasonable solution, but I am unable to verify at this stage. Will PM manole to send me more samples, to test out-of-the-box. StealthSIM: Appears to be a resonable solution, however in Malaysia only 128k SIM cards are available. So that could be the caveat. These "older style" cards seem difficult to work with StealthSIM. Maxis, Celcom, UMobile, Digi all seem to use these "older style" cards (rounded gold pad). However, my O2 UK card (it is the new style looks like AT&T SIM etc) is working, roaming in Malaysia on Maxis. Will report O2 UK card roaming in Singapore when I am there for a few days. VirginSIM: I am awaiting samples. UnlockCellular: I am awaiting samples. Last edited by nvidia2008; 08-24-2008 at 01:32 PM. |

What is the current status of the sample from UnlockCellular? From your experience? Update us here... Thanks. :hack: Looks like I might be the only one left here. The last remaining "trusted tester" against the hordes of zombies...

My main issue to retest is with SIM cards that are the "128k" old-style gold pad on the SIM. Like the T-mobile UK ones. Like all those in Malaysia now, seems the "256k" SIMs have all been pulled off the market here for some reason.
I WILL GET SIM CARD IN SINGAPORE TO TEST ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY TO TEST STEALTHSIM AND SEE SINGAPORE SIM CARD STYLE. Okies. That's all for now. |
