Oh come on.
Please, don't give credit to this oportunistic dude that claims he did the unlock here in Brazil.

Everybody around here knows why and how he did it.

First he opened an iPhone Unlocking store back in the days when Geohot made public his hardware unlock. I mean he rented an office, hired secretarys and stuff, only for unlocking iPhones.

Since now any 3 year old can unlock the old Generation iPhones, his services aren't needed anymore and thus his company might be close to bankruptcy.

No wonder he announces 3 days after the release of 3G he did the unlock.
It's all about Marketing and taking advantage of unware people as usually happens.

Now any dumb motha' that googles unlock 3g and is in Brazil gets redirected to his stores website not to mention the ignorant articles written by dumbass journalists here wich stills claiming he did the unlock.

He uses ZeroG to do the trick. ZeroG has been released before the iPhone 3G and it was made by Pz at Bladox to work with any 3G device as he explains in Bladox's forums.

You can tell when somene is using Zero-G here (or relateds) because the iPhone acquire the Roaming network name, TIM BRASIL, and not only TIM as it's supposed to.

desbloqueiobr doesn't deserve any credit, for anything. In the video they released, they mock dev-team and geohot, and they haven't done anything for the iPhone community. Bunch of fools they are.

baalbeck, have you seen any *SIM that actually works?

I have two iPhone 3Gs. I left one on STOCK firmware and upgraded one to every upgrade that has come out so far. I am on jailbroken 2.0.2 with BB FW 02.08.01. I have been using StealthSim SE with T-Mo USA since yesterday when the upgrade came out. It appears that this BB is much more stable with this particular sim solution. I have gotten only ONE "No Sim" error since then. This is so far a much better experience than I have dealt with in the past. I have used RebelSim, AlphaSim, TurboSim ETC and a Universal Sim on the way. Perhaps this BB update has increased reliability in both legit and x-sims. I STILL DON'T RECOMMEND UPGRADING! LISTEN TO THE DEV TEAM! I have requested unlockcelluar to send me a TornadoSim sample and I will let everyone know how that works on both 01.43.00 and 02.08.01. Keep up the good work everyone!!

check your pm guys...

Not sure y'all can see from my pictures, I am using tornadosim +2.01 with tmobile usa for 3 days so far so good. Only drop once when driving, not sure what happen but it came back again and been solid.

I am not sure if I should upgrade to 2.02. I am thinking reliability is more important than testing new firmware. we will see.....

SIM Hack - FuriouSim - Out of the Box, no fiddling with the USB reader/writer I ordered.

SMS In/Out - Working
3G Data - Not available in Trinidad - Yet - Turning it on - No Service
Edge - ?? (I don't have EDGE activated on my account - will reactivate for testing)
Carrier - bmobile TSTT (Trinidad & Tobago)

As I don't sell these and was really testing it for my blog and local readers here in Trinidad. I would ideally prefer a software solution. I will review it thoroughly and if it gives any trouble i will be certain to point it out and be honest.

here is the video of me putting it in for the first time.

It's been about 8 Hours using the FuriouSim and honestly the signal has been as strong if not stronger than my first gen iPhone on 2.0 PWNED/Unlocked. we'll see how it goes.

I have another couple brands coming in and will test and post results of those too over time. Your not going t want a day by day update of course, but I'll post any changes.
We have just released new firmware 2.4.71 would you mind to try and post result?

Please use client 1.7 : http://www.yessim.com/dwl/Yessim_17_USB_Cable.exe

Please select Boost mode / PC1 /00101

Process of registering migth take a while cause it is having 2 registering process... we will post more the full process and explain the whole idea

Here is the rigth steps to follow explained by one user :

1- upgrade your yessim firmware to 2.4.71

2- put the sim card on an unlocked phone and leave it for a while. I left mine for an hour

3- enable 3G and Data Roaming on your iphone

4- turn off your iphone

mrhex,
I'm currently using TurboSIM+ZeroG here in Sao Paulo and it's fairly working as long I stay at the same place where it first got signal.

When I go downtown or to a mall for example I got No Service.

OK, I got my Universal Sim and StealthSim SE samples today, i'll start with Universal Sim and Vodafone germany.

Incoming/Outgoing calls, SMS in/out and EDGE/3G (with roaming enabled) worked fine, but after 1 hour the phones incoming calls and sms didn't work. So i went on and updated my testchip to v500... At all it does look fine now, but i'm using it since 2 hours only, so who knows... I also a baseband log to give away, anyone here who wants it?
