First of all thank you for explaining the mod. I already made the mod on the hardware and have finished the tests. Here are the results on my USA 3G iPhone at&t locked:

Furiousim hardware modified and checked. Programmed with V 2.4 beta, Boost mode, MNC+MCC 001-01, patch count 1:

- Tried Orange Spain 3G Simcard: No network. Left 5 minutes trying to get network. Tried the card on another unlocked phone and got network. Again on the iPhone 3g with yessim and no network.

- Tried Movistar Spain 3G Simcard: Got network on 2G mode. Only could make calls not receive calls, not receive SMS. Data only on GPRS mode.

So... i think no valid sim solution at the moment for iPhone 3G

Cool. I'm going to PM you. All I am interested in right now is testing, testing, testing. Like I said, nobody seems to be testing any of these properly in the UK. London area particularly.

While giving time to the Dev Team to develop the proper solution (1 month? 2 weeks? 2 months?) maybe in a certain country something may work for a few weeks before the telco companies shut down that loophole...

I've tested many of these so called 'products that work'. They simply dont. Waste of time if you ask me.

No offense to Geohot, but by the sounds of it Geohot and Zibri are all out of ideas and are really despondent.

Disagree on part of that.

If anything Geohot is still actively looking at ways to work with the device. Zibri, isnt doing anything.

It's not as if they are being paid to do anything and you should never ever ever compare Geohot and Zibri.

Sounds Strange, we have one custumer facing same problem with a Roger Iphone and working fineon a Fido phone. We are trying to figure out the problem.

Mean while Try (only for test purpose) set only 2G Mode in phone and set the search as Auto. We haev phone with us in Marocco and working 100%. We don't lose network neither in 2G mode and 3G mode. Please let us test together before say "So... i think no valid sim solution at the moment for iPhone 3G"

Could be many reason why your test has failed. So please contact me if we don't find Issue you are 100% to paste your results. It is working for us and many other people. ( No test performed yet in spain)

Other question, was your phone activated or Jailbreaked? How did u Jailbreaked under Mac or Windows?

Anyway more custumer are testing in most of countries. In case of probelem we will simply release update

And please don't lose the main idea is too unlock Iphone 3G... I think you know who I am I will not release something like this on only purpose to make money. I don't need this. We have tested ans was working for us. Many reason could be that you are having this problem. So pls let's try

tried the yessim today. i have a 3g iphone from switzerland (the prepaid one with netlock). what can i say? the card DOES NOT WORK! i tried everything patchcount 1 or 30, boost mode, mcc-mnc universal & swisscom mode. nothing, so dont buy it.
