Some advice for i-smartphone users:
- when the 3G or EDGE icon disappear from iPhone, You can start calls, send sms, etc, but call receiving doesn't work. Solution: take out your sim card and i-smartphone, insert both in a normal phone, make a call (I usually call my voicemail) After that, You can put back the sim and the i-smartphone to iPhone.
- 2.2 update: DO NOT UPDATE your iPhone with official update via iTunes!!! You will receive NOSERVICE message, You can't use the i-smartphone. In 2.2 update is a baseband update too, so it will kill your i-smartphone (Virgin, TurboSIM, etc) card!!!
- If you updated accidentally updated via iTunes official update, You have a brick. You can wait for new version of i-smartphone.
- the only working solution: make a custom firmware with Pwnage and update your phone with this custom firmware.

your right I did I got a pretty damn good solution... I haven't had any major problems at all actually so stop criticizing the only solution we have! I'm sick of the dev team bashing these solutions. ITS ALL WE HAVE until there is something else stop ragging on all we got. Get your ego together... you guys are damn good but bashing other solutions is ignorant. Go and prove me and a ton of other people wrong. You didn't unlock the first one so I have little faith you will unlock this one without some support. You need Geohot, you need need IPSF, you need others to help you.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is so special about the latest baseband in firmware 2.2 ? I really do not understand what is so different? Is there something significant changed ? I read something about the 101 baseband ?
