Then you can insert the sim adaptors with no problem.

The virgin sim will hold up, but it will bend, and you'll have to press with pincers to get it straight again if you don't get those connectors lose.
My point really was, if the universal sims would work as they advertise, you would only have to insert it once. Wear and tear wouldnt be an issue if you never had to take it out. But since it cant totally outsmart the iPhones security checks on the IMEI and such it eventually locks you out, swapping the sim is an inconvenient but necessary part of using the universal sim.. at least until they update it again.

that is your experience, I have been using universal sim v550 for over a month now and just recently swapped in a virgin-sim. I agree that the edge was pretty shoddy with the Universal, sometimes I would have to reboot multiple times to get it back, but phone signal was never a problem

to get any of the sims out I have to get a firm, thin piece of plastic and stick it in ontop of the sim tray and shimmy it out

I have been inserting and removing virgin-sim without any problems. No tools, no tape, no glue, no cutting, no nothing.

Over a month? Your sig says since 9/10.. its only 10/04, thats actually a little under a month... but Im glad it worked for you. Just wish that it worked flawlessly for everyone cause the success reports are all over the map. I sometimes think I should have tried yessim, but refuse to waste anymore money on products that aren't guaranteed to work... whats laughable is that actually all these x-sims are guaranteed and claim to be the first working solution and claim never to give you the NO SIM error that others do, yet none of them are able to back it up.

Universal sim, I had high hopes, but the Edge went out on me on a daily basis. sometimes one reboot is all it took to restore it, but sometimes it took several, and I dont mean 2 or 3 but 5-10 and all those reboots not only took quite a bit of time, but also had a small toll on the battery. Im tired of seeing that damn pwnage pineapple. LOL

Fortunately Virgin-sim has been gracious enough to send me those samples of their product and the edge along with everything else has held up wonderfully so far. only been about 36 hours but still, by now with the universal sim my edge would have been gone.

You don't need to buy any more of them -- theoretically. All you need is the software that runs on different ones and a programmer.

16gb US iphone 3G, software vers 2.1, pwned and using any-network V.2 sim is working fine on UK vodafone. 3G, internet access, gps all good. Have had occasional 'No Service' usually in areas of weak reception, but only occasional. 3 weeks on and still no problems . Had been supplied with a different sim unlocker, but it only worked for 24hrs, sorry but can't remember which one it was

Just received the i-smartphone card today. It was working all the day long with 3G support, no problems with calls or sms, but.. now it does not work any longer (no internet). It is _exactly_ the same result as with VirginSIM which worked only one day for me.

Btw, when i-smartphone sim stopped working for me after 1 day, I replaced it with VirginSIM (which did not allow any 3G internet during the past week), and I got my 3G data icon back! I know, this is not for long, though. Looks like my carrier is blocking me (but why does this affect data only?).

Does anybody know if these sim solutions somehow change IMEI number? If yes, this perfectly explains the aforementioned behavior.
