Just tried a trick posted in another thread.

Put my Tmobile UK sim card in unlocked phone. Waited for reception.

Then took it out and put it back into the iPhone 3g.

Got reception, but

- Outgoing calls - OK
- Incoming calls - NOT WORKING
- Outoing text - OK
- Incoming text - NOT WORKING

I'll be in Brussels from 11am tomorrow morning (Thursday) until Friday (8th) morning. So in 24 hours I wonder how many Mobistar shops I can check to see what is going on. :hack: ...As in WILL YOU SELL ME A PREPAID UNLOCKED IPHONE 3G...

Hi, at this stage, just wait for a more tested SIM solution, otherwise the Dev Team's software unlock solution... That's the state of affairs at the moment.

to all the x-sim liers out there ...pls dont just want to make profit for ur self but sometimes just take a look at our so well-known dev "the dev-team"...they work so hard without being paid....they just work for the community...

still waitin for universal sim confirmation for their "FULL WORKING 3G/EDGE FOR IPHONE 3G".... but i m not putting to much hope on this one...watching all the other products sim solution just wasting my money like garbage...

yes, you are wasting your money for nothing. Just wait for an official approval by the testers.

redrobbin = people are free to chosoe to do whatever they want with their work. some will give it for free like iphondev (kudos) some will charge for it ... free world after all and you BUYER are free to choose as well

regardless, always buy from reputable site so you will have recourse if product does not work.

you know something is wrong when people give away working solutions for free while others sell crap solutions for epic monies though

(note that this didn't apply to Universal Sim, didn't test it but I believe it could work. I also believe it'll be fixed in the next firmware update )
