[SuperSim] iPhone + Aitrel + India(Bengaluru) = working
Hi All,

helooo that was great to hear from you....I am from India tooo Andhra Pradesh. I was planning to buy an iphone from US. But was unable to know wheather it works good here for airtel....

nice to hear finally someone in india getting it worked. did u use a mac or a pc to do it all?xp or vista?? I am getting my silversims, and infinity reader on monday. how long did it take for u to extract the KI from ur airtel sim? and wat machine u used to use it? Am just curious coz i am getting all thats required on MONDAY. Also, i have unlocked mine on a mac following the method mentioned here : http://anderson-technologies.com/archives/5 Any advice whether how should i proceed further. I am a mac user, but have access to many pcs too, so any kinda help will be highly appreciated. Keep enjoing ur iphone.... jealous already...  sachin

Here are the details…
1) Iphone with firmware 1.0.1 2) Work PC -->WinXP 3) For first activation I used DVD Jon Method. 4) Next jailbreak and fakeactivate -->http://www.hacktheiphone.com/iphone_...r_windows.html, also you need to replace 'lockdownd' under /usr/libexec/ with http://cuimengsuo.com/wp-content/upl.../lockdownd.zip, to prevent further activation checks (backup the original lockdownd) 5) Ordered Dynamite Writer + 2 Silver cards, received it after 6 days(88$, no CUST) 6) Next thing I see is the serial interface of Dynamite Writer is not working. 7) Did everything I could do, from building my own serial cables to switching PC’s for serial Interface, but nothing worked. 8) Remembered that SIM reader was available in SP Road from my last SC writer hunt 3 weeks back, kicked my RX and went flying and got SIM reader(NextTech, 325/-), it provides virtual COM interface. 9) Ran worn scan and worked like chram with SIM Reader, had ‘ki’ of two sim’s within 30 minutes. 10) Next just followed “Tutorial" http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=2215 that’s it, within 5 minutes I flashed the silvercard. 11) Next cut the card, insert into iPhone and make calls, sms  12) For EDGE, got to Settings->General->Network->Edge apn (airtelgprs.com), username(blank), password(blank) 13) For YouTube see http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthre...=theThreeFiles I can lend my writer to ppl from Bangalore, or anyone who is flying down to Bangalore from anywhere in India Just order silvercard (~10$) and get your iPhone working, may be few ppl can join and do a bulk order. Till you get your cards you can get NextTech SIM reader and find 'ki', should be available @mobile electronics shops in your town. If you are from Bangalore I can give you directions. Sachin, Thanks, WinXp is better since all these reader/writer drivers work with WinXP Few snaps .... Cut SC  INA Airtel...

hey.. congrats on ur working iphone mate...
i read some place that those who have unlocked using the supersim method arnt able to recieve calls.. is that true? i am in new delhi and will recieve my iphone shortly.. really looking forward to it... and ohh btw.. is youtube working on ur airtel?
