Default Turbo SIM, 'No SIM' problem

I'm having some strange problems with my Turbo SIM. I've done all the stuff as instructed and everything worked absolutely fine up until the last step when I put my Orange UK SIM into the iphone with the Turbo SIM but all I get is a 'No SIM' message.

Now I've tried putting the Orange SIM + Turbo SIM into other phones and that works fine, so the connection between the Turbo and Orange is all good; and I've put the AT&T SIM + Turbo into the iphone and that works fine too (apart from the 'Waiting for AT&T activation' message).

It is possible that I've broken the Turbo, but if that were the case would it still work in other phones, and would the 'SIM Applications' menu still appear and work when I put the AT&T+Turbo into the iphone?

it's not broken (you'd get a "no SIM" message in all phones if it was), but there was probably a mechanical contact problem specifically with the iPhone tray. You should retry

Hmmm... I must say I've tried many many times. I have a whole rack of other SIMs lying around too (many of them disabled, but they should at least show 'No Service') and they all do exactly the same except for the AT&T SIM.

When I insert the AT&T SIM, I'm getting a 'Waiting for AT&T activation' pop-up. I can't remember getting this before I started messing around with the Turbo SIM (but I might have forgotten... I typically just ran the iPhone with no SIM installed): does this mean that my activation is screwy and I should re-activate, or is this normal?

No, this message is normal. But I don't really understand what's going on here
