I brought a Next SIM II a week ago, and it just arrived today.

Happy to see it arrive in the mail today, I took it out of its package and hooked it straight up with my current sim card.

Hmm, No SIM..... Take out, try again... Still No SIM??

Try another phone..... No SIM card is inserted? WTF?

So now, after about 7 hours, I am still trying to get it working..

Did I buy a defected Next SIM II??

pls check you iphone origin country, they is US or UK version in the market, get a EASYiSIM 2 in 1 version, that will be safe, u don't need to know where the iphone come from, just jailbreak and use it instantly. u can get it from www.easyisim.com

P.S: Have u jailbreak and activate the phone already?

Yes, the phone has been jailbroken and activated.

When I insert into another phone it tells me to 'Insert SIM'.

I have tried 296 reinserts, 147 restarts and 17 different SIMs (mostly prepaid) and had no luck.

I've come to a conclusion that this, indeed, is defected.

I have emailed the seller but no reply yet; I've spoken to him though, he told me the engineer wasn't in at the moment, and told me to wait till tomorrow. -.-

Should have bought from a more reliable source... sold dozens and have had no problems :S

I had the same problem. Ordered 4 simfreer sims. What i found in the envelope were 4 xsim's generation. Whatever i tried none of them worked. I always got the message "no sim". I also did a lot of test with the stealtsim, this working much better. However, you also need a lot of retrials and the best soltution is the tape the stealthsim together with the sim of your provider (alligned at the bottom) with a small piece op tape, before you put it in the simtray. The stealthsim should be decentered a little bit to the right (ca 0.3mm= 1/10 inch) when you look at it with the top op the tray on top.

I do not understand what the problem with those simfreer or xsims is.....

the xsim's were generation 3.

My NEXT SIM II was working for two weeks. When I tried the procedure, it always gave my an "incorrect file" (or something), but at the end, my sim (Telcel, from Mexico) was working.

Was working until today. I just rebooted my iPhone, and it shows now an ugly "No SIM" message. If I insert the original AT&T sim, the "No SIM" message disappears.

I ran the updated procedure and now everything went well, but result is the same. "No SIM".

Any idea?

Same issue here. Next sim ii was working for 3 weeks, even still worked yesterday. But today my frd told me, he called million times but no answer from me. I checked the Iphone and it still shows about my network. I restart and get the no sim or sim failure message. I couldnt understand what happening is.

Same problem with me. My German O2 Card was working for 2 weeks now and yesterday I had to restart my phone and from that moment I got the "No SIM" message. I tried already another SIM and that works without any problems. Putting back again my SIM it says still "No SIM". So the NextSim seams not to be defect.

Had the same problem.

After inserting the NextSim II with another SIM (which should be recognized), re-inserting again the previous SIM with the NextSIM II problem is (temporarily) solved.
