I bought an IphoneSimFreer and I'm getting a No Sim detected error on 2 Malaysian network, Digi and Maxis. I've even got a new simcard to try, all with the same result. After contacting the seller on their site (Jenny .... I bet that's not even a real name), they suggested that I upload the lockdown file.

As I've read around the lockdown file is only applicable if you were originally on 1.1.1 and upgraded to 1.1.2. According to them some 1.1.2 OTB phones need it. Now I'm worried if I do upload it to the iphone, will my phone be screwed? I read somewhere a user could not even boot the iphone after uploading the lockdown file.

Any help on this would be appreciated

Lockdown only helps when You get "Invalid SIM" if You have "No SIM" then it might be a problem with the connections with Simfreer and Your SIM or phone and Simfreer.
