I have an AT&T activated 1.1.2 OTB iPhone jailbroken. (week 47)

I purchased on eBay a New Cingular Wireless AT&T 64K 3G Sim Card since I did not want to cut up the sim I'm using when stateside.

I followed all directions to set up the iPhone with use off the Turbo Sim.

I have the following challenge:

When using the non-at&t sim with the turbo-sim,

1) the signal bar shows up with no signal showing
2) no carrier shows up
3) The turbo sim apps show up in the phone settings
4) The non-att&t sim's phone number shows up at the top of the contact list.
5) The non-at&t sim works fine in another phone.

Because of 3 and 4 I believe all the software is installed properly.

When I put in the iPhone activated at&t sim back in, all works fine and the turbo-sim applications disappear from the settings.

Could the non-signal issue be that I used an incorrect non activated at&t sim ?

As always, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Probably completely wrong but Turbo Sim isn't compatible with the network "3" here in the UK due to it being 3G. Not sure if this applies to the type of sim card you are trying to use too?

I have used the sim (that I want to use with the turbo-sim) before on a software unlocked iPhone.

The at&t sim I used with the bladox sim looks exactly like the one that came with the iPhone originally.
