the whole point is that you iphone has a new IP. Yur phone is connected to your router. So you need to log on to your router and see what IP's adre connected to your network. Then you will find your new Iphone IP.

the above is correct, you need to connect to your router not through the iphone, but some other means, if you are lucky you will find your iphones IP address, otherwise, you are out of luck and will need to restore the iphone and start again from the begining

yeah. the resource is busy coz the comcenter is loaded. you have to step back in the tutorial and start again at a certain point:



10. use WinSCP to copy the file "com.apple.CommCenter.plist" (from ComCenter_Disabled/Disabled) to the iPhone-folder /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/


11. restart your iPhone, it will show the Apple logo and appear as if it was stuck/hung during you the reboot, but you may just proceed further on


12. leave out - you already did this


13. put the original SIM supplied with the iPhone (not your own!) into the TurboSim and carefully insert it into your iPhone


14. leave out - you already did this


15. start PuTTy and connect using your iPhone IP address as the host name.


16. PuTTy should ask for a username, type "root". The root-password, which is "alpine" - so type "alpine" and hit Enter


17. type "turbo-info" and hit Enter - some numbers should appear followed by an "OK. No Error" - or similar


18. type "turbo-app /private/var/root/applesaft.trb" - so the file you copied to that location via SFTP will now be executed; after that an "OK" should appear


19. rename the file "com.apple.CommCenter Kopie.plist" (on your harddrive) to "com.apple.CommCenter.plist" (so without " Kopie", which is just the german word for copy) so that the name is identical with the one in the "disabled"-subfolder


20. use WinSCP to copy the file "com.apple.CommCenter.plist" (the one you just renamed) to the iPhone-folder /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ - so the original file will be there again (and not the "disabled" one)


21. restart your iPhone


22. on your iPhone go to Settings -> Phone -> SIM Applications -> Apple Saft -> Set



reason: applesaft cant be run as long as the comcenter is loaded. so the comcenter will have to be replaced with the DISABLED one before you do the turbo-info and turbo-app stuff. this NOW doesnt work because you already replaced the DISABLED comcenter with the ORIGINAL one again. so go back once again to step 3/10 (see above) and it should work.

I have changed my pc/router so that it uses the same ip address all the time. Is there anything i have to do to the iphone so that the iphones ip address is static

yeah. read above:"on your iphone, after your phone acquires its IP address through DHCP, change the mode from DHCP to Static"

I was following instructions for Windows users and I was doing ok to Step 3/6. I download and install WinSCP 4.05 but I can't log in to my iPhone. I have the correct ip address for host name, and I use root for user name and alpine for password. But I always get error message "Network Error: Connection Refused"

Can anybody help me to log in to my iPhone???

try logging in first with ssh to let it generate the keys. You did install bsd subsys and ssh, right?

I login in to my iphon with WinSCP and copy files from Turbosim (Step 3/8) but I suck on step 3/9. When I select copied files, with right click I don’t have option "info" with right click.

Can somebody help me, what I have to do here and how ???

right click mouse, go to properties and tick the following boxes

group - tick boxes r and x
others - tick boxes r and x
