Everytime I "turnoff" my iphone, it keep turning back on. It won't stay off. So for this reason it won't go into DFU mode.

My iPhone is not activated so I want to unlock/jailbreak it so I can use it as for wifi/ipod.

When it would turn on, there was nothing i could do, because there was no sim card, and itunes wouldnt reconize... I bought my iphone from a friend. Heres how i solved it:
1. Downloaded QuickPWN 2.2.1 and connected my iphone. i went through all of the steps, until this one said i was using the wrong firmware, and i needed 3.0
2. looked up how to jailbrake 3.0
3. Used Redsn0w, and selected the option to unlock
4 YAY!

Im supprised that there isnt instructions out there for this situation.

Last night it was working fine. It wasn't activated so I was tyring to use redsnow to unlock/activate it. But I wasn't able to access the DFU mode. It kept going to recovery mode.

But now, forget the activation... The iphone wont even turn on anymore. I connected it to itunes and still it won't show up. I held the power and home button to see if it turns on... but still no signs of life. The battries were fully charged.

I installed Installous yesterday... today, I plugged it into my computer while it was on (Eee PC 904HA running Windows 7 Ultimate) and it immediately went to the Apple logo and proceeded to reboot, never to the unlock screen.
