If my iPhone 3G is connected to my BT Home Hub Wireless router and I use Google Maps to find my Location is tells me I am about 5 miles away from home (Which funnily enough was my previous address), if I step outside of my wireless routers range (just outside my front door) it instantly finds me at my correct location!

Has anyone come across this problem? and if so how can I fix it?
Does anyone know how BT Home Hubs recieve thier Location information? Is it supplied by BT each time my router connects or can it be changed somewhere on the router itself?

I know it only seems a small issue but it is really annoying me and I would like to resolve it!

Any advice would be appriciated (apart from phoning BT cause NO-ONE there seems to know anything about how the router gets its location information, and the stock answer is "We don't support iPhones")

the wifi doesnt work as well, so i can restore the firmware but im able to use blackrain but not install the cydia apps etc as i have no wifi...

even when i have run blackrain it still comes up with a message say not activated this may take some time....

the iphone recognises my o2 sim card and says o2 and has the 3g icons just no signal and cannot make any calls.

I went back on ebay to try and get a refund but what would you know the seller has gone.
Anyway my question is this I have read somewhere if I get another pcb and change it into my iphone this will put a different imei into phone then I just need to jailbreak phone and unlock it with blacksn0w.
If this is correct and will work by changing pcb board i have seen phones damaged etc on ebay and was thinking of buying one for spares and using its pcb board.

I have a jailbroken 3G iPhone on firmware 3.0.1. I've managed to get everything running smoothly except for adding photos to contacts (sounds simple I know). When I add a photo to a contact and press done, the image is fine and 'saves'. If i scroll through the contacts and go back to the original contact, the image is still there. Though when i press the home button and leave the contacts, and then re-open the contacts list and press on the same contact, the image has disseapeard.

Might anyone know of a fix for this issue or could anyone perhaps give me suggesions as to what MAY work? It's buggin the hell out of me and I can't seem to find a fix for it.

so i used MIM from erica again to change it. that works as long as i type in something, but when i leave it blank to reset its again empty.

Loaded an accelerometer logger and confirmed the problem, the Z axis does not move. Tried a lot of things, including banging the phone against my palm to unstuck the accelerometer, tried to restore it many times, from DFU, from restore, etc, no idea what to do next...

Is there a way to solve this that does not involve sending it back to Apple?
