I reinstalled using pwnage tools and all that, still nothing. i can make calls, go on the internet and all of that... just no messaging. It shows that it sent it, but no one ever gets them. same thing when people send me messages... it shows they sent them (on their phone), i just can not recieve them... any ideas fellas?

So I don't know what firmware it is on, and I'm trying to jailbreak/unlock/activate it. I used PwnageTool 3.0 so far using the 1G 3.0 firmware and it kinda worked, I can receive calls and see text messages but i can't do anything else. Its just slide for emergency. Here's what it looks like.
and iTunes says it cannot recognize my SIM card.

The OS also operates very slowly. I'm wondering whether it's because the battery is old or because the unlock software should be upgraded. I want to take my iPhone to Apple Genius Bar, but I'm guessing I need to relock it so it's covered under warranty. Can I accomplish this easily using Pwnage? If not, what is a good method.
