I am having iphone 2g. One day back i upgraded its software from 1.1.4 to 3.1.2. The old basebad was 4.4. The problem i am facing is that the software is upgraded but now i am getting the error insert valid sim card to activate the phone. The old software was jailbroken and unlocked but now i am unable to unlock it. I followed all the steps right up to hitting "go for it"

When i click on "go for it", i get a message saying:

"Error communicating with device
please make sure device has been paired with iTunes, also make sure device is in NORMAL mode.
Your may retry once, if the problem persists, please restart iLiberty."

But my itunes detects the iphone........

Since then I have not had time to keep up with options to upgrade to newer versions. But the time is now.

With 1.0.2 sometime during the last 2 years, apps store stopped working (crashing), I tried installing cydia last year through ssh but could not get cydia to launch as well (crashed).

A friend just pointed out that I could try a new method using DFU mode and slip in a newer version 3.x The steps seem to be too simple but I want to tread carefully. have no ideas of pros and cons of this approach.

then i tried the iliberty virginizer soluiton and straight away flashed it to 1.02! then my iphone needs activation and jailbreaking which i could not do it as the phone switches ON only when i connect it to the charger, and i f i remove it and try to jailbreak it using Ibrick 0.9 it fails alwasy as it gives a red screen and then my phone doesn't switches on!

then at last somebody gve me an idea of trying to upgrade it to the 3.1.2 ipwned customised restoere and which while resoring it gves me an eror "1601" i tried ireb everything but my phone is just apple logo and then switches OFF! even when a charges is connected the same thing! if some one could guide me how to revive my iphpne?

I don't know which procedure he followed but now actually the iphone i an ipod touch... :confused:
No wifi, no imei, no ccid...the baseband is corrupted and neither the modem firmware is showed.
I've tried to erase the eprom and to reflash with bbupdater through terminal, the procedure seems ok, but when finished pings the baseband withoud succes and starts again from the beginning in a loop.
Honestly I don't know what to do...if someone can help it would be really appreciated!

but the problem is the screen is locked and It shows

To rearrange icons, touch and hold any icon until it starts to wiggle, then drag...........at the bottom DISMISS.

For clear idea i'm adding the Pic too.



If i touch the Dismiss..... it's not responding.....

Guys Please Help me to find a solution for this .......Please Help Me guys...........
