I'm trying to install Leopard on a new HDD i purchased.
My computer won't pick up the Instal Disc. My friend told me that I have to either format the HDD first or install some files so it can recognize the disc on boot-up.

Any ideas how i can do this?
I got XP installed right now. Please Help =/

I had the same problem for awhile, and I'm not sure doing this is what fixed it, but try formatting your drive to FAT32.

If you're computer isnt picking up the DVD, then its the DVD problem, try either burning it again, or downloading it again.

Of course, first check that you're booting from the CD/DVD Rom .

Does it make a difference whether we use DVD-R or DVD+R?

Alright, so I really did figure out what I was doing wrong. Make sure you're burning the dvd as a disc image. Just burning a data disc won't work. I'm using Nero.
