Dual booting XP and OS X...help..!? :D
I've been searching all the internet for a good guide that satisfies me about dual booting XP and OS X, but there are just so many different ways that I got confused .
Anyways I am now at a point where I have windows XP installed and I have 2 partitions set up on my 80GB HDD. One's with windows of 15GB in FAT32. One's ready for OSX and is unallocated space but partitioned, also of 15 GB and the rest is just unallocated, unpartitioned space (where all my shared files will go)
So as you can see, I'm pretty much all set up on the partitions and I'm ready to install OSX, the only part I'm worried and don't know how to set up is the bootloader. I'd like to keep it simple and I was thinking of using the Windows bootloader by adding chain0.
Question is do I install it before or after the OSX installation?
HERE it says before, yet on the InsanelyMac forum (where nobody is really active) people say they installed both OSes and then figured which bootloader to use (if booted in XP copy the chain0 file and if booted in OSX hit F8 to select OS)
So I'm pretty confused about that, and clarification will be appreciated :D
Also what format does the 'shared files partition' have to be in so it could be used by both OSes?
