Dual Boot Windows Time Fix

I wrote this program to adjust the time when booting into Windows after running Snow Leopard. I posted this in the applications forum, but decided it probably has a better home here.

Extract it and place it anywhere you would like. I just put it in my startup folder in windows, that way when I boot into windows I can change the time with no trouble at all.

Next version will be automated and will know when booting back and forth.

Feel free to ask for feature requests. The plan is to have an application sit on the SL OS and report to the windows partition that it was started. This way when you boot back into Windows my app is aware that you have started Snow Leopard and that there was a time change.

The fixed time is off by 2 hours and at this point there is no way to compensate for time zones.
Once you do change the windows time it screws up the mac time when you boot into osx86.
I thought it would just change the windows time,leaving the mac time as is.
Supposedly there is a way to change the mac time at boot with a rc.local file but I couldn't get that to work.

It looks nice but much nicer to just change Windows to use UTC time from Bios.

There are programs that will screw up the time,you have to either sync with internet time or reboot the pc even with that reg fix.

If memory serves, the time discrepancies when dual booting snow leo and windows can be fixed by a windows registry edit. Once you do that, the time will no longer be off. I'm sorry i don't remember the exact registry key but I'm sure you can google around for it.

• Set the RealTimeIsUniversal value to 1 (right click on it, Modify, set data to 1, OK)
