I think what he meant if you re read his original post was that the 1st time he did it was as a standalone install without dual boot, but this time it's a different laptop that he wants to dual boot hence used BCD.

I've just started trying to put OS X on my m1330 and haven't gotten very far, so I came across this thread and I hope you guys can help me out. I've been trying to do this using a different method with iatkos 1.0, but maybe you can still help. I burned it to a dvd, and made an unallocated partition, but when i try to boot the dvd, I get the blinking slash for about 15 seconds while the disc spins, and then my pc just boots into vista. Any ideas?

    3) Make sure vista is set as the 'active partion' using fdisk.

you have to keep on pressing f12 when you restart the computer. You will have the option to boot from the CD.

    cheers

fdisk is the terminal command used to edit MBR and change the boot flag and stuff like that.
You need to go to terminal and type fdisk. It should give you some basic info on how to use it.

Like other member said, try with this if vista is your primary partition:

Boot in single mode and type:

    fdisk -e dev/rdisk0
    flag 1
    quit
    reboot
