Okay, so I understand that after you install mac onto your second partition, you have to use fdisk to get back onto vista and install and use easyBCD. But then what do you do after that?

    Default Some EasyBCD questions

Hi TJ2K7 or Anyone who knows,
I have done my homework but still have some questions.
I have Vista on my main SATA HDD and plan to use Retail/boot132 method to install on a separate "new blank" SATA HDD.

    1) Does EasyBCD work with two separate HDD's?
    2) Will I need to do the "copy chain... into Vista's C: drive" thing in order for EasyBCD to work?
    3) If I follow the instructions in the Quote below, do I still have to install Chameleon or EFI_V9 in order to boot without boot132 cd everytime?

Here are some instructions I read at EasyBCD website:
    1. Install Vista or OSX
    2. Install the other one
    3. go in to Vista
    4. Download and run easyBCD i used v1.6
    5. in easybcd select "ADD-Remove Entries, select iMac/macbook and give it a name (what ever you want)
6.Now select (from left) Diagnostics Center, SELECT Repair OSX "HFS+ Partition Error.
    7. Click Attempt Recovery.. this may now read Recovery Attempted.
    8. Reboot
You should now be able to Dual Boot Vista and OSX

    Default Help needed

    Hey there,

I have followed all the steps that you have given in this thread. I installed iDeneb 10.5.4 on my laptop.

The installation went well and finished without any errors. The same installation worked well on another laptop.

However, that laptop was a standalone Mac OS X installation.

Now after, the easyBCD installation, when i try booting into mac os x, it just sits with a blinking cursor in the top left.

    Any help here????

    What have i done wrong??

If it was a standalone installation and no dual boot then why did you need EasyBCD in the first place? How did you install it, if you only have mac?

Im not sure if EasyBCD works with two seperate hard drives as i dont use this setup nor do i have a spare hard drive to test it.
Can't you just use your computers build in option to boot into another drive. I know its not as nice as a menu, but hey it works
