Dual boot Xp with Kalyway 10.5.2
Here i just copied the threat i opened in insanelymac but unfortunatly noone answered. :-(
Hi everyone,
i am sorry for my english writing because i am coming from germany :-)
First of all i want to thank you for helping me out and hope you can.
Yesterday i tried to get the hackintosh but didnt continue with the erasing in the mac-osx-journaled partition.
I have 2 hdds (one with an existing windows xp and the other one for os-x). I put in the kalyway and everything worked out perfectly as written in wiki. But when I tried out to erase it it took the whole night and nothing really happened in the progress bar ( is that the word for it :-) )
I tried to format this Western Digital Hdd in windows with different file system such as, unformatted, fat32 but i didnt work out for me. I read that there is a thing going on with WD-Hdds but i didnt get the point.
Can someone help me and maybe even tell me how i can dual boot my system with 2 Hdds (1-XP, 2-Mac-OSX 10.5.2)
2)
ok, i did it and now its working. I installed osx on the same hdd (different partition of course) because i didnt manage it wit the other one, i think its broken. :-(
After installing the boot manager by writing one line in the boot.ini file and efering to the chain0 i saw the boot manager when booting the system. I can chosse my "OSX" and "XP" . When i press for the os-x leopard it takes two seconds and i am back in the boot menue.
Does someone know what i can do now?
Thanks in advance

Use Acronis Disk Utilities
Acronis has a BOOT loader.
After you install it in your Windows partition, run it and add your two OS's to the boot list.
Be sure to use the utility that creates a bootable CD-R disk, so if you ever have problems booting because of damage to your MBR you can always recover.
If you set up Acronis properly, every time you boot, you will be given a choice of OS's to boot into.
There are tutorials on Youtube that show how to dual boot XP and OSX. The one I used showed the use of Acronis.
Good luck
