    Hi,
Is it the same KP as it was last time? Maybe you can post the error or screenshot. Your hardware is fairly recent so Ideneb 1.6 10.5.8 may have a better chance. Your BIOS settings are very limited. They don't really want you to go in there, do they?

    Here is the Kernel Panic.

Oh, correct me if i'm wrong with my check list..

On My Computer, I have, 4 Hard Drives.

    C:/ - Windows
    D:/ - Recovery
    Q:/ - Office 2010 Beta
    and
    Z:/ - Hackintosh

Those are my drive partitions. also, i have

Vista Home Premium 64Bit Service Pack 1.iso on DVD to fix dual boot.
    and recently just got
iDeneb v1.6 1058 Light Edition.iso , which im going to be putting on a DVD soon.

    Is that all I need?

Also, this is what it says on README.RTF.

"This dvd was created for Non-Apple computers. So, don't work on Apple Hardware. The motherboard is very important for the compatibility with iDeneb. If you have problem with the ACPI on motherboard you can try to patched its bios, or in alternative you can try the DSDT Patcher ( Under the menu "iDeneb Essential x86 Patches" during the selection of the drivers )."

Which i am having problems with, should i just go with DSDT Patcher?

    Hi,
I'd live to give you some very short answers, because I'm stuck with some unforeseen problems, but I don't want you to have to wait before you can work on it. The KP you got is it with Ideneb or iPC? I think it have some to do with not able to change BIOS settings. Ideneb should install ok. Make sure you boot with those options:
-x -v and then put in busratio=20, cpus=1, and/or maxmem=2048, one at a time to try or all together to see with which you can get to the installer screen.
You have one hard drive but 4 partitions, correct? not 4 physical hard drives?
    Good luck.
    Regards,

That KP was on iPC. And yes i do have 4 partitions. I have a 500GB on this laptop. Also, just wondering. Am i going to need a copy of OSX Leopard install DVD or no? Is the whole thing on the iDeneb already?

with iPC, when i put on -x and pressed enter, it went and did KP. also tried -v and another kind of thing came on and still KPd. So i tried -x -v busratio=20 cpus=1 maxmem=2048...

pretty much idk if i am doing it correctly. But yeah, iPC isnt working so im gonna try it on iDeneb. I'll see what happens.

    Yes,
I think you should give it a try.
You hardware is fairly recent and Ideneb 1.6 10.5.8 Lite Edition has better hardware support, and better performance as well.
Let me know how it is going for you. I may not be able to answer it right away due to some mishaps now, that I have to resolve, but I will get back to your questions, if any. You should apply those boot options that I mentioned earlier.
    Good luck.

Well, seems like everything installs well. I got it to work once, but when the "welcome video" went on, only the Audio was available. No video after 30 min waiting either. So i restarted. Then i kept reinstalling and reinstalling. So, just wondering, what if I don't want to dual boot anymore and just erase all the drives and use the main drive for iDeneb. Can i do that? If all else fails do you think i can go back to vista with my Recovery disk?

Can you also tell me how to choose the right drivers?

Oh, and i can't go back to Windows it's getting stuck now. Only way i can go back is with recovery disk, which i dont want to do yet... (Thats why im thinking of just going all the way with the hard drive to mac and if iDeneb fails, ill just use recovery to get everything back)

Here are the drivers i chose that made it work that one time.
    Kernel Vanilla
    SpeedStep
    ATI (ATY_Init)
    SD/SDHCI

and nothing with network since i can find other ones and install later.

pretty much i just want MAC OS X going on my laptop since vista wont boot anymore unless i use my recovery disk (still havnt tried, but assuming it would make it work).
Just need some help on which drivers i should choose so that i can just start MAC OS X and add some kernels from there on. (also, can you include the Internet if you know which one?) THanks.

    Hi,
The objective is to get into OSX so keep it as minimal as you could. ATY is for your vid card. You can use 9.8 Voodoo/qoopz, vanilla may have some problem at first boot, although you should be able to run vanilla on your system. You can always install kexts for the extra after boot into OSX, such as sound, network, video, SD etc. as well as replace your kernels.
The main parts are your chipsets, SATA/IDE controller, and the patches.
    Good luck,
    Regards,

    Hi,
Your vista is still there, but don't worry about it for now, if your chameleon can boot osx then it also boot your vista. If you're able to boot into OSX then you can replace the video kext. When chameleon starts the countdown, hit any key, then it will list all the drive that it can boot. Your vista partition should be there along with your OSX, just make your selection.
If you're having trouble with video then don't install any driver for it, just leave it blank and will install it later when you're in OSX. The VESA video mode (the one that got you through installation should be enough for temporary usage).
