Thanks, i will try that. Currently I am trying to get vista to boot again, had some problems after repartitioning with gparted and now my laptop doesn't recognize the primary partition as having an OS.

Well I finally fixed my MBR with linux, I love linux. I am wondering if there is an easy way to install either iPC or leo4all from a usb? I love booting my linux from usb and can't find a good utility to setup a mac os boot from usb.

Just an update, I tried iPC and leo4all with no luck. I am currently downloading a version of iDeneb but I am not sure if that is going to work either. I always get to the same point and get the "still waiting on root device" error. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions I could try?

I have not tried that switch during boot. What exactly does that do? I will try that when I get home from work but I guess I am wondering how that will effect the kexts.

It will affect your CPU, to use just one core, and the -v its to active the verbose mode, so we can see whats wrong.

Once booted, will I be able to change that to utilize both cores or after installed maybe? Seems useless to disable part of my processor installing an OS. I will try it anyways if that is what needs to be done to get it to boot.

If it work, it means you wont be able to get all cores working unless you MOD your BIOS or Install Retail with DSDT Patch
