    Default What distrobution?

    Hey,

I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S7428 notebook stock Windows Vista but I'm now on Windows Seven! I want to dual-boot Windows Seven with OS X just to try it out.

I'm hoping for something 10.5.6, if possible? Anyways, tell me what I gotta do folks

Alright here's the specs I know:

    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor TK-55 @ 1.8GHz
    ATI Radeon X1200
    Realtek wireless
    2GB DDR2 RAM
    160GB HDD

    Need anything else? Amazon.com: Toshiba Satellite A215-S7428 - Athlon 64 X2 TK-55 / 1.8 GHz - RAM 2 GB - HDD 160 GB - DVD?RW (?R DL) / DVD-RAM - Radeon X1200 - WLAN : 802.11b/g - Vista Home Premium - 15.4" Widescreen TFT 1280 x 800 ( WXGA ): Computers & PC Hardware

I'm almost certain that Amazon link is my PC. The only difference is I thought I had two CPU's

And I know how to dual-boot. Seven has a built in partition manager, so does Vista.. When I had Vista I installed Seven on a seperate partition to make sure it works then deleted the Vista partition after I knew it worked

    Thanks again!!

    Alright. Two questions:
    1. How do I actually install? Can I install it from my HDD?
    2. Is it updateable and is it removeable if I don't like it?

Oh and will it work out of the install?

If you wanna try iPC, check the official site to know the basics, theres guides around, google it, what do you mean from your HDD? you can install in your HDD but not from the ISO, if you just wanna try see how it works you can try with vmware, theres guides for it too, the performance its not the same but it give you an idea.

yes you can update everything post installation, and yes you can format the distro if you dont like it, if you have windows or linux installed just will need to fix the bootloader.

    Angry Same boat

I just found this thread even after searching the forums and not finding it earlier... weird... anyway! I'm also running Se7en and trying to get OS X on my Toshiba A215. Link to the project page so far is HERE since I originally was looking for which kexts I would need for the iPC installation. Apparently I keep running into a snag when it comes to installing it for the first time from the DVD because it doesn't get past this part:
    Code:

Everything that's on the screen when I boot from the iPC DVD (once it freezes) is there. What do I need to do? I'll also post in the correct section for iPC but still...

any help? I've tried the latest versions of iPC 10.5.6, iDeneb, Kalyway, and iAtkos with the same results...

    Thanks a lot!

    ~Sexybeast099

EDIT: I know it freezes because the DVD stops spinning in the drive, am I just not waiting long enough for it to start spinning again...?
